Ok so a question about athletics?

ok at my school in 7th you get to choose athletics,pe or karate and i chose athlectics and our first sport is football and my friend who is a girl was asking how she could get on the team since there isnt a girls football team. she really wants to be Quarterback. Any Suggestions?
