Is the state of Israel an abomination and vile corruption of Jewish Ideology and theology?

I am an anti-Zionist Jew, so don't ignore this question as anti-semitic. Jewish teaching seems to support the idea that the Jews must not reestablish Israel until the Messiah comes. My rabbi also says this is true, as do other rabbis I've talked to about this. Answers from knowledgeable people only, please no rabid zionist rabble.
