Please help me!the game name is true crime new york city , and I don't know how to use the weapons I bought

well I am 2nd grade det. and I bought weapons from the fifth to the 2nd.They appear in my car's trunk i hit space to " equip " and enter to "accept".good but when I hit page down they do not appear in my hands or anywhere. 2: I hit pg down until the regular pistols comes out then I hit " home" again nothing appeears, I tried hitting "t" or "g" and the same result nothing ,nada ,rien, nicht, niet, nimic.......... PLEASE HELP ME!!! because I think I'll finish the game and I won't have the guns bought in my hands to kill those ******!!!yabadooobadoooooo damn.....
